SUMMARY Both in experimental plots and on a field scale in East Anglia better control of Tarsonemus fragariae Zimm. was achieved by application of endosulfan when strawberry plants (cv. Cambridge Favourite) had previously been mown off after harvest. Therefore, where this pest is a problem removal of foliage before spraying should prove beneficial.
