SUMMARY Some F l progeny of crosses between resistant and susceptible cultivars of potato contain resistance to Heterodera rostochiensis pathotype E (British notation) supplementary to that conferred by genes H 1 and H 2 . This resistance in hybrid K2/6 was equal to that of its parent D40 and could be incorporated in a useful resistant cultivar.
