SUMMARY As a result of nomenclatorial changes both the cocksfoot moth ( Glyphipterix simpliciella (Steph.)) and the diamond‐back moth ( Plutella xylostella (L.)) are liable to be confused with other tineid species. To avoid this confusion, some details and illustrations are given of the species concerned.
