SUMMARY Dieldrin, aldrin and gamma‐BHC were applied topically, in microdrops of Cellosolve, to adult carrot fly Psila rosae (F.) from an apparently susceptible strain and two suspected resistant strains. Flies resistant to all three chemicals were found in eastern England in the period 1966–67.
