SUMMARY Nineteen pesticides were compared for the control of a strain of Myzus persicae resistant to contact organophosphorus pesticides. The tests were done on year‐round chrysanthemums growing in pots. Good results were obtained with drenches and sprays of oxydemetonmethyl and demeton‐S‐methyl, drenches of vamidothion and granules ofthe carbamate UC21149. The other pesticides gave variable results but monocrotophos granules seem to be worth further investigation. Many of the pesticides tested and particularly the carbamates were phytotoxic to the cultivars used.
