SYNOPSIS The oviposition response of Ibalia drewseni and Ibalia leucospoides is described and compared. Oviposition behaviour is elicited by odours produced by the symbiotic fungus of several species of siricid woodwasps. The responses of the two Ibalia species to fungus cultures of different ages and host sources is discussed in relation to their emergence periods and the ecology of their hosts.
