A note on the ploidy of Purkinje cells: sex chromatin in field vole (Microtus agrestis) and man Examination of sex chromatin bodies in Purkinje cell nuclei suggests only a diploid chromosomal content: there is no increase in number or size above that seen in diploid cells.
