Primary amyloidosis with involvement of the peripheral nervous system An unusual case of primary amyloidosis with peripheral neuropathy, due to severe involvement of the peripheral nerves and posterior root ganglia, is described. The possible significance of the changes in the posterior root ganglia is discussed. The sympathetic nervous system was also severely involved, although disturbances of autonomic function were slight.
