Summary Are modern science and clinicians forgetting or ignoring the importance of morphology and microscopy in studying disease and disease patterns? Here we ponder that current science research over‐emphasizes the value of molecules and disease modelling, or rather under‐estimate the usefulness of microscopy and morphology. We debate the usefulness of morphology in contemporary research and wonder whether our techniques are too old‐fashioned or whether our field is seen as redundant.
