SUMMARY A digitizing frame store giving real time read out of the image for TV or slow scan rates is now available. This equipment has a number of applications in both optical and electron microscopy. Examples of results obtained by linkage to a low light level TV system are given showing that use of the frame store yields image information not otherwise available. Other possibilities of the system are indicated.
