SUMMARY A comparison has been made of autoradiographs prepared by conventional dipping methods and those prepared from the same material using a dry‐mounting method developed for the study of receptor labelling. Resolution was found to be inferior, and image spread greater, in the dry‐mounted preparations. The extent to which resolution and image spread were affected depended upon the distance between specimen and emulsion.
