SUMMARY The specificity of the tannic acid‐phosphomolybdic acid‐Levanol Fast Cyanine 5RN procedure for myosin‐like proteins in myoepithelial cells is hampered by the affinity of the dye for other structures. The selectivity of myoepithelial cell staining is enhanced by oxidation of sections, nuclear staining by Safranin‐O, and differentiation with Tartrazine.
