SUMMARY A method of increasing the sensitivity of X‐ray film for the wholebody autoradiography of tritiated compounds is described. Thirty micrometre sections are sprayed with a scintillator, Diphenyl oxazole (PPO) and exposed to light sensitive (screen) X‐ray film at −70°C. The method permits a substantial reduction in the required dose of tritium and of the period of exposure of tissue sections.
