Summary A simple and inexpensive modification of the specimen holder of the Porter‐Blum model MT‐1 has been devised, which allows fine adjustments of tissue block orientation in both horizontal and vertical planes. It consists of an additional ring mounted on the existing locking ring and fitted with four radial screws which push the shaft of the chuck.
