SUMMARY A film projection system is described which permits stereological measurements to be made on negatives enlarged 2.7–6.7 times. The unique feature of this system is its use of the Zeiss TGZ 3 particle size analyser for determining profile size distributions. Elimination of negative printing greatly facilitates investigations requiring analysis of a large number of micrographs.
