SYNOPSIS A fibre microtome is described which combines the simplicity of the plate method of sectioning with the accuracy and efficiency of the Hardy fibre microtome. The instrument is cheap to make, uses only standard materials and may be constructed by anyone having access to a small lathe and simple hand tools.
