SYNOPSIS 1. Out of a total of twenty Albino rats one male and one female developed rhabdomyosarcoma during treatment with 5‐β‐naphthyl‐2: 4: 6‐triaminoazopyrimidine. 2. The primary striated muscle tumour which arose in either the spermatic cord or the epididymis of the male rodent formed metastases in most organs of the body. Dissemination appears to have taken place via the lymphatic pathway. 3. The histology of these tumours has been described in detail and problems relating to the ætiology and behaviour of these rare growths have been discussed.
