. The high pathogenicity of Aphanomyces astaci to susceptible crayfish has often been mentioned but not well investigated in publications on crayfish plague. This paper presents a study of that pathogenicity and considers the relationships between size of zoospore challenge and challenge temperature, which results in the extremely complex series of pathologies which comprise crayfish plague.
