SUMMARY The addition of calcium phosphate to total parenteral nutrition (TPN) infusions is investigated with particular reference to factors affecting the solubility of the salt. Recommendations are made about the most appropriate method for adding calcium phosphate to paediatric and neonatal TPN products.
