SUMMARY The preparation and evaluation of written information for patients receiving PUVA therapy is described. The results show that educational reinforcement by means of printed information contributes to greater patient knowledge in respect of the disease state, its therapy and the specific treatment regime prescribed. In addition, improved communication links between patient and practitioner were demonstrated which must ultimately benefit patient care.
