[Extract] This paper about the impact of nurse clothing on anxiety levels in hospitalised children (Roohafza et al. 2008) is important from two aspects. First, there is some research about this topic, but not enough; so this is a very welcome addition. Second, it is very important that research like this by nurses comes from countries outside of Western developed block nations. This paper from Iran is particularly interesting. The study itself has been established in a hospital where, traditionally, all nurses wear white uniforms. It has been carefully designed and implemented, and examines the anxiety levels of children using a validated tool (although one of the problems with the study is that they have not described the translation process from English, and how this was validated)
