S ummary . Isolates of staphylococci and micrococci, 105 in all, classified according to Baird‐Parker's classification (Baird‐Parker, 1963,1965) were examined for their sensitivity to novobiocin. All of the staphylococci were sensitive to novobiocin as also were strains of Micrococcus luteus and M. roseus. Almost all strains belonging to Micrococcus subgroups 1–6 were resistant to novobiocin.
