S ummary . In 3% and 6% (w/v) sodium chloride solutions the heat resistances of spores of Clostridium sporogenes were the same as in water. Heating to give a 0.1% survival rendered the surviving spores more sensitive to inhibition by sodium chloride in the recovery medium.
