Summary A new hydroxy fatty acid characterized as 11‐hydroxy‐ cis, cis ,5,8‐tetracosadienoic acid together with cyclopropenoid fatty acids have been isolated from seed oil of Scindapsus officinalis . The identification was based on IR, NMR, MS and chemical degradations.
