A major form of vitamin B 6 in rice bran was isolated by various chromatographic techniques as colorless powder. It was identified as 5′‐ O ‐[6‐ O ‐((+)‐5‐hydroxy‐dioxindole‐β‐acetyl)‐β‐cellobiosyl] pyridoxine by spectroscopy, and enzymatic and chemical hydrolyses.
