Summary Results of 188 analyses for aflatoxin in edible nuts imported into the U.K. during 1982–84 are presented. Most samples (140/188, 74%) had aflatoxin B 1 , content ≤ 5 μg/kg. Brazilian peanuts may be identified as consistently unreliable as regards aflatoxin contamination.
