The odor threshold of pure 2,3,6‐trichloroanisole was determined in water solution using trained and untrained panelists. The values obtained with the trained and untrained panel were 7.4 and 24.5 ppt (parts per 10 1 2 parts of solvent) respectively, Trichloroanisole samples prepared in two different laboratories did not result in significantly different threshold values. These values are about 4 orders of magnitude higher than those found in the literature for this compound.
