On the basis of the straight‐line relationship between the F value and square of process time divided by 100 (th 2 · 10 −2 ) found in this work, a new simple method was developed applying the principle of linear interpolation to estimate process time for a given F value, For calculating F value, the following equation was proposed: F Z 250 = 10 (Tr — 250)/z (fh · Bh + fc · Bc). Concepts of functions Bh and Bc, and procedures for preparing tables of values of these functions are described briefly.
