Summary. This paper addresses the problem of the insufficient number of instructors available for ‘hands‐on’ endodontic courses for dental practitioners throughout the UK. The Council of the British Endodontic Society proposes the setting up of regional endodontic study clubs. Subsequently, some study club members will be encouraged to present ‘hands‐on’ courses to other practitioners in their region. It is hoped that Area Representatives of the Council, who will organize the study clubs, will be found among the university teachers of endodontics.
