Summary. The usefulness of glass ionomer cements in endodontics is illustrated by selected case histories. The situations varied from root repair to root end filling. The use of regular glass ionomer cement and a reinforced version are presented. In addition, the preparation of a modified glass ionomer cement, that could be used alone, or with gutta‐percha, for root canal obturation is described.
