Summary. A new method for drying root canals is reported in which an ‘Apical Broach’, which resembles a K‐file without flutes, is used. Absorbent cotton is wound around it to create an instrument suitable for drying root canals. The apical broachcotton instrument can be made at the chairside and is economical.
