Summary.  Until now, the World Federation of Haemophilia (WFH) has focused its energies on the development of initiatives to enhance the clinical care of persons with bleeding disorders around the world. While this objective will still represent the main goal of this organization, there is interest in launching a new program that focuses on international research into the inherited bleeding disorders. This project will begin with the development of a clinical outcomes research competition and will incorporate a complementary research mentorship program.
