A bstract Using homogeneous full‐space and half‐space models, we show that induced‐polarization properties of the medium influence the inductive coupling between two circuits. It is suggested that existing methods to interpret electromagnetic sounding data should be viewed with caution if the electro‐chemical dispersion is not taken into account.
