A bstract Model tank inline resistivity profiles with Wenner and two‐electrode systems obtained over two vertical, parallel, infinitely conducting dykes submerged in water show that the two‐electrode resistivity anomalies resolve better than the four‐electrodes Wenner. anomalies. In contrast, the broadside resistivity anomalies obtained with a Wenner configuration resolve much better than those obtained with two‐electrode configuration over an identical ground structure.
