A bstract A magnetotelluric digital equipment has been designed and built for operation in geophysical and applied geophysical research. The five components of the natural electromagnetic field can be digitized in the frequency range 1/1000 Hz (magnetic sensor's response limits) to some tens Hz. The magnetotelluric (MT) data are directly digitized in the field and stored in a cassette tape recorder.
