The exact responses of plane interfaces to incident spherical compressional waves are calculated by an electronic computer. The reflected part of the response is shown for various positions of the ‘shot’ and of the ‘receiver’ as well as for various velocity contrasts. This makes it possible to study some features of the reflection process, especially the behaviour beyond the critical angle.
