Pythium diclinum was isolated from a reservoir near the city of Rabat (Morocco). This is the first report of its presence in this country. Taxonomic and morphological details of the fungus are presented. The isolate grew on potato carrot agar (PCA) containing various concentrations of NaCl, up to 700 m m . Pathogenicity of the Moroccan isolate was demonstrated in vitro on lucerne seeds and seedlings.
