The economic importance of Xanthomonas campestris pv. graminis on grasses has made it necessary to look for control measures. The most important is breeding for resistance. Different methods of selection were investigated and compared. Further, production of the inoculum, virulence, host specificity, disease assessment and yield losses of Arrhenatherum elatius were examined.
