Failure of plant disease control due to development of resistance in fungi has become one of the major problems in chemical control. It is very important to prolong the use of a resistance‐prone fungicide by development of strategies to counteract resistance development. Various aspects are discussed, which are relevant to reaching this goal and in preventing the fungicide resistance problem from growing worse.
