For successful soil disinfection, many integrating factors have to be taken into consideration. In this way, the kind, the composition, the formulation and the physical and chemical properties of the products are very important. The information is considered together with the soil moisture content, texture, humus content, soil density, micro‐biological activity, etc. Finally, there is the problem of reinfection as well as the advantage or disadvantage of persisting components of the fumigants on the macroflora and possibly on the microflora too.
