SUMMARY Familial benign hypercalcaemia has also been termed familial hypocalciuric hypercalcaemia because a major feature of this condition has been a relative hypocalciuria in relation to the hypercalcaemia, such that the calcium to creatinine clearance ratio is less than 0.016. The following is a report of a small kindred of patients with familial benign hypercalcaemia in which two of the affected members have frank hypercalciuria.
