SUMMARY A total lack of neuroendocrine and vegetative circadian rhythms was observed in a patient with a familial degeneration of the anterior and dorso‐medial thalamic nuclei. Our findings support the role of the thalamus in regulating the periodicity of endocrine and vegetative functions.
