Summary We report a case of generalized cutaneous sclerosis associated with muscle and oesophageal involvement in a patient exposed to herbicides containing bromocil, diuron and aminotriazole. Treatment with oral prednisolone resulted in some improvement in the cutaneous signs, particularly over the face, trunk and proximal limbs. The considerable exposure to chemicals, time course and unusual pattern of organ involvement suggested a diagnosis of occupational scleroderma.
