Summary A 1‐year‐old boy developed bullous pemphigoid. Immunoblotting, which has not been previously reported in childhood pemphigoid, showed the serum reacted to a 190 kDa band only. Bullous pemphigoid is rare in infancy and childhood with only 40 cases previously reported. A brief review of the literature is given and treatment of childhood bullous pemphigoid is discussed.
