Summary We present a patient with long‐standing refractory atopic eczema who developed a pattern of lichenification and hyperpigmentation resembling macular amyloidosis, Histology showed changes of chronic lichenification only. We suggest that this appearance is a feature of her eczema rather then amyloidosis.
