Summary We present a female patient with long‐standing plantar pustulosis and recurrent vulval pustules, who developed Sweet's syndrome. The possible significance of these associations is discussed. We suggest that patients with Sweet's syndrome may have underlying intrinsic abnormalities of neutrophil function. A pulmonary lesion was seen on the chest radiograph, but the aetiology of this is unclear.
