Summary Oesophageal web formation is described in three cases of dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB), one with unequivocal dominant DEB, another with presumed dominant DEB, and the third with the localized form of recessive DEB. The occurrence of oesophageal webs in the milder variants of DEB is emphasized, together with the fact that they may be the only demonstrable cause of dysphagia.
