Summary A cutaneous eruption in a patient due to infestation of his dog with the Cheyletiella mite is described, Intradermal testing with mite extract is used to demonstrate delayed hypersensitivity to mite antigens. The contribution of delayed hypersensitivity to the development of the eruption and the diagnostic use of skin testing are discussed.
