Summary Examination of 100 consecutive in‐patients with psoriasis showed that 57% had facial involvement. There was a significant relationship between the severity of facial and scalp involvement in females but not in males. Males and females differed in their response to sunlight, with females surprisingly tending to experience an adverse effect which was not related to the use of make‐up or to occupation, whether indoors or outdoors.
