Summary A 74‐year‐old man presented with a malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) on the lower leg. Wide local excision was performed and no recurrence has occurred to date. The pathological features which distinguish MFH from other sarcomas are now well denned and deserve wider recognition.
